Extended Silent Auction Items

We are excited to have 20 very special silent auction items which will remain open for bidding during the dinner portion of the evening. While most silent auction bidding will close at 7:00 p.m., certain items have been selected to be part of the Extended Silent Auction and will be open for table-side bidding until 9:30 p.m. For your convenience, volunteers will come to your table twice during the evening with bid sheets. These sheets will list the current highest bids and allow you to out-bid your competition without leaving the ballroom. If an item is "hot" (multiple bids of the same amount) a Lakeland College representative will oversee the final winning bid.

1. Pronto Moda Super 140's Tuxedo

   Get your own custom-fit Pronto Moda Super 140's Tuxedo. This tuxedo is made of black Merino wool. Look your best at all of your black-tie events. Certificate expires June 30, 2009.

3. Girls' Dance Party with a Photo Book Full of Memories!

   Two to four award-winning South High dance team members will come to your home and attend your daughter's party for 90 minutes. The South High dancers will teach the girls a unique dance routine. Snap some pictures during the event and a soft-cover Creative Memories Storybook (six copies of a 20-page book) will be created for you and your guests to commemorate this swinging party. Provide approximately 40 to 50 photos.

4. Lakeland Football Extravaganza

   Treat a special youngster in your life to the Lakeland College Youth Football Camp held June of 2009. Each camper will receive instruction from the Lakeland College coaching staff in offense, defense, special teams, fitness training and nutritional training. In fall, head out onto the gridiron as the Muskies' honorary coach for the day at any home football game (excluding Homecoming). Honorary coach package includes a 9 a.m. team welcome, 9:30 a.m. team breakfast, and a place on the field for warm-ups, national anthem, coin toss, post-game discussion, and post-game photo. Camp tuition only good for 2009 summer camps. Youth must be 13 years or younger. Session I (Ages 9-13) June 22-24, or Session II (Ages 8&under) June 25-26.

5. Culinary Demonstration

   Culinary demonstration of cheese dishes and appetizers including appropriate wine selection for 10 people, prepared by Sargento's very own Corporate Chef Guy Beardsmore. Participants will enjoy food prepared by Chef Guy in a lively presentation at Sargento's culinary kitchen. Date to be arranged on or before December 31, 2009.

15. The Lewis and Clark Experience for Two

    Join Lakeland students as they canoe down the Missouri River in May, 2010, camping at the exact camp sites that Lewis and Clark experienced during their amazing journey westward to claim, for the United States, a route to the Pacific. This May Term journey will take seven days, first traveling to Havre, Montana by Amtrack, staying in Fort Benton overnight and then getting on the river for a three-day river trip. Next, exit the river at Judith Landing and be transported back to Havre to spend the night before the returning train trip to Milwaukee. There is no scenery in America more beautiful! Included in this auction item is a copy of Ken Burns' DVD Corps of Discovery, which the students will also be watching in class, and a copy of Stephen Ambrose's book Undaunted Courage, required reading for the students. Accompanied by an EMT-certified guide, paddling past spectacular 200-footwhite cliffs, enjoying food around campfires each evening as the group discusses the day's adventures. This is a canoe trip of a lifetime. Food, tents, and sleeping bags for the trip are included. EXTENDED SILENT AUCTION PROCEDURES

Opening bids and minimum raise of bids listed on each bidder sheet

1. Each item in the Extended Silent Auction has a separate bid sheet. Person desiring to bid must:
   1. Write the amount of the bid and bidder number on the bid sheet.
   2. Each new bid must be written on the first blank line available on the bid sheet.
   3. Persons desiring to bid may do so as many times as they wish.
2. The Extended Silent Auction will close at 7:30 p.m. in the lobby and reopen twice during the course of the evening with volunteers asking for bids at the tables. Final bidding will end at 9:30 p.m.
3. If an item is "hot" (multiple bids of the same amount) a Lakeland College representative will over-see the final winning bid.
4. Policies 3-6 of the live auction also apply to the items sold in the extended silent auction.
