Laura Kohler
Laura E. Kohler is married to Stephen Proudman, is the mother of three amazing girls, and in her "spare time" is the senior vice president of human resources for Kohler Company.
Prior to joining Kohler, Laura's career path took her through arts and education. She served as the executive director of the Kohler Foundation, facilitated team development with both corporate clients and at-risk youth for Outward Bound and worked for Youth Guidance, a Chicago-based agency that provides artists to Chicago Public Schools.
No stranger to the stage, Laura managed and performed in a Washington, DC-based classical theater touring company called National Players. She continues to pay her union dues on both her Screen Actors Guild and Actor Equity cards in hopes that someday she might use them again!
She received her bachelor's degree in political science from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and her master's degree in fine arts from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
Laura serves on a number of boards, but very near-and-dear to her heart are the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Kohler School Board and Friendship House. No dance resume to speak of, except that her mother enrolled her in ballet by the age six and tap at age eight. None of which really helps this "40 something" attempt the cha-cha!
