Jimmy Olson

As a vocalist who has performed professionally with the Connecticut Grand Opera and Orchestra, the Mendelssohn Choir of Connecticut and at Carnegie Hall, Jim has the music in him. He is a native of Wisconsin and studied music at UW-Stevens Point before moving east to the Westchester Conservatory of Music. He completed a bachelor of science degree at Southern Connecticut State University and then a degree in mortuary science from Briarwood College. Jim is the owner of the Lippert-Olson Funeral Home in Sheboygan where he has been a funeral director since 1999. He currently serves as spokesperson for the National Funeral Directors Association and is an active member of the Grace Episcopal Church choir. Jim enjoys sailing and is a member of the Sheboygan Yacht Club. Other interests include skiing, collecting antiques, playing the piano and organ, spending time with his dogs, Lobo and Trouble, and restoring an 1894 Renaissance Revival Victorian home.

Jim is sponsored by Lippert-Olson Funeral Home and has chosen Boys and Girls Club of Sheboygan County as the recipient of 50% of the proceeds raised through the purchase of extra votes on his behalf.

He will be performing the tango with his dance partner, Jessie Spencer.
