Dennis Allan Alvarado Lopez

DENNIS ALLAN ALVARADO LOPEZ was born in "La Ciudad Senorial" of Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1978. His parents introduced him to salsa-mambo at the early age of five. In 1994 he started dancing ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, hip-hop and African & Puerto Rican folklore. From 1996 until 2001, he represented Puerto Rico as a principal dancer/choreographer with the "Ballet Folklorico Guarionex" in Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain. What started as a hobby became his career.

Over his 20 years of dedication to dance, he has become a recognized instructor and performer around the world. Since 1999, he has instructed in recognized dance studios such as Latin Rhythms (Chicago, Il), Shut Up & Dance (Fond du Lac, WI), East Towne Ballroom, Fred Astaire, Gary Allen's, Dance Sport Studios, The Delaware House and Casa di Danza (Milwaukee, WI). He has traveled and performed in many local, national and international salsa congresses and most recently competed in the Chicago finals of "So You Think You Can Dance". He is the current champion of Chicago's "Rumba with the Stars". After many years of hard work and dedication, Dennis Lopez Productions presents the first mambo dance company in the state of Wisconsin, "Mambo Elegancia" Dance Company.
