Sarah Calhoun

SARAH CALHOUN is originally from a small town in Massachusetts. She moved to Minnesota for college, where in 2000 she began taking ballroom and swing dance lessons. She continued dancing through many more moves across the country and the world. In 2003, she settled in Madison to pursue a PhD at UW Madison in languages and cultures of Asia. It was here that she met her professional dance partner, Darrell Dieringer, at a social dance. They currently compete in American style rhythm.

In addition to her university work and competitive dance training, Sarah also teaches ballroomclasses aroundMadison. With a background in musical theater, Tae Kwon Do and yoga, Sarah has a passion for expressive dancing and exciting choreography. While she enjoys many styles of dance, Sarah can never turn down a good west coast swing.
