Arthur H. PerryBorn in Wilmington, North Carolina, Art has been an active resident of our community for over 50 years. Now he's ready to take his place on the Gala stage to have some fun and benefit Lakeland College and The Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra. Art has been active as a Sheboygan Symphony board member for 10 years and currently sings with the Symphony Chorus and Carolers. He also serves on the development committee of the Richardson Hospice and on the board of the Sheboygan County Historical Society Endowment Trust. Art has been an actor in Community Players' presentations of Inherit the Wind, Silver Whistle, Mr. Roberts and Oklahoma. Yale University is Art's alma mater. He is an avid supporter of Lakeland College and was awarded an honorary degree from Lakeland in 1990. Art has been married to his wife Ruth for 35 years. Their children and grandchildren live in Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Illinois, and Australia. Looks like we'll have to keep our phone lines open for call-in votes. Art is sponsored by the Perry Fund and has chosen the Weill Center Endowment as the recipient of 50% of the proceeds raised through the purchase of extra votes on his behalf. He will be performing the waltz with his dance partner, Sarah Calhoun. |
