Mary AmundsenOne of seven children, Mary grew up in Burnsville, Minnesota where she was an active gymnast for many years. She competed and coached gymnastics at Winona State University, and it was there she met her husband Carl. Apparently he was impressed with her moves. They now live in Sheboygan with their three children. Mary owns her own business; she is an Etcetera consultant representing a clothing line designed out of NYC. She loves to travel, shop with her girls in the big city and attend her son's basketball and baseball games. Mary agreed to dance this year as an example to her children of stepping out of the box to support worthwhile community organizations. She is actively involved in the JMKAC Friends of Art Council, Readers Theatre, the Arts Center Gala Committee, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs, Jackson School and First United Lutheran Church. As a former gymnast and coach, Mary knows how to train and perform, and she's hoping to score a perfect 10 as a Gala dancer this year. Mary is sponsored by Priority Sign and has chosen Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sheboygan County as the recipient of 50% of the proceeds raised through the purchase of extra votes on her behalf. She will be performing swing with her dance partner, Chuck Spencer. |
