Nichola Stayer-SuprickNichola was on a date in her native London more than two decades ago when the man she was with introduced her to a dashing American acquaintance of his named Michael. "He was so kind, charming and handsome," recalls Nichola with a big smile, describing the man who swept her off her feet, convinced her to move to the United States with him and became her husband. Though she considers herself "very much British," Nichola loves Sheboygan and feels rooted here now with lots of family and great friends. She enjoys being involved in community activities; serves on the Board of Directors for Safe Harbor, is very involved with the planning of the Men Who Cook fundraiser, has been a member of Sheboygan Service Club, and volunteers in her spare time at Lake Country Academy, where her children attend school. Nichola and Michael have twin boys, Rex and Harry, 11. "They keep me really busy," she says with a proud smile. A fierce competitor, Nichola enjoys tennis, golf, and competing at the Elkhart Lake Sprint Triathlon. When it comes to dancing, however, Nichola admits that "I have absolutely no dance experience whatsoever," she says. She does, however, have a great role model in her own home. Michael was the champion at the inaugural Movers & Shakers Gala in 2008. "He's been fantastic," Nichola says of her supportive husband. "meanwhile, I've been a nervous wreck, this professional dancing isn't as easy as it looks, but anyone that knows me knows that I'll be prepared. Most of all, I just want to have fun." NICHOLA IS SPONSORED BY JOHNSONVILLE SAUSAGE AND HAS CHOSEN SAFE HARBOR AS THE RECIPIENT OF 50 PERCENT OF THE PROCEEDS RAISED THROUGH THE PURCHASE OF EXTRA VOTES ON HER BEHALF. SHE WILL PERFORM A TWO STEP CHA-CHA ROUTINE WITH HER DANCE PARTNER, NIKOLAY KARCHEV. |
